Graduation Schedule Available for Class of 2023

Graduation plans have started to take shape across Redwood City School District (RCSD) as teachers, staff, and families celebrate the Class of 2023! 

Close to 750 students will celebrate the culmination of their PreK-8 academic careers in a number of ceremonies that will take place in early June. This school year, the Kennedy Cougars represent the largest graduating cohort with 219 students while 58 Garfield Gators will toss their graduation caps. 

In celebrating the graduating students, Superintendent Dr. John Baker expressed his admiration for their grit and perseverance. 

“This year, we congratulate a strong group of students who reinvented the school experience by starting their middle school years in a virtual format. It was exactly three years ago, in 2020-21, that they were starting 6th grade in an online classroom with their classmates and teachers. As difficult as that year was for them, they persevered and worked hard to get through those challenging times. We congratulate the 741 8th grade graduates for their efforts and academic strides. Thank you for allowing us to be your teachers.”
