Families at Five RCSD Schools to Be Welcomed by New Educators Leading their Schools


This fall, Redwood City School District (RCSD) students and their families will go back to school and, at five RCSD school campuses, they will meet new friendly faces welcoming them to the 2022-23 school year. The educators were appointed to their new posts during the spring and summer. 

The following educators were appointed to new school leadership positions starting in 2022-23. 

Principals:

  • Lupe Guzmán, Principal of Hoover School

  • Susana García Fernández, Principal of McKinley Institute of Technology

  • Melissa Bowdoin, Principal of Roy Cloud School


Assistant Principals:

  • John-Michael Gomez, Assistant Principal of Hoover School

  • Kathie Nguyen, Assistant Principal of McKinley Institute of Technology and Taft School

  • Winnie Wong, Assistant Principal of Orion Alternative School

  • Dr. Shanna Laney, Assistant Principal of Roosevelt School

  • Felicia Tse, Assistant Principal of Roosevelt School


These leaders will be supporting students, teachers, staff, and the community starting on August 17, the first day of school.
