2025-26 Student Instructional Calendar Now Available

The first day of school and other important dates for the upcoming 2025-26 school year are now set for TK-8 students. The Redwood City School District (RCSD) Board of Trustees approved the 2025-26 Student Instructional Calendars during its December 11, 2024 regular Board meeting, providing families and staff with a comprehensive guide to key dates for the upcoming school year.

The instructional calendar includes the following key dates for TK-8 students:

TK-8th Grade Calendar:

• Tuesday, August 5: First Day - New TK-8 Teachers
• Wednesday, August 6: Teacher Work Day
• Thursday, August 7 - Tuesday, August 12: TK-8 Planning/Development Days
• Wednesday, August 13: First Day of School for TK-8 Students
• Monday, September 29: Planning/Development Day - No School for TK-8 Students
• Wednesday, November 26 - Friday, November 28: No School for TK-8 Students 
• Monday, December 19 - Friday, January 2: Winter Break - No School for TK-8 Students
• Monday, January 5: Planning/Development Day - No School for TK-8 Students
• Tuesday, January 6: TK-8 Students Return from Winter Break 
• Monday, February 16 - Friday, February 20: Mid-Winter Break - No School for TK-8 Students
• Monday, March 16: Planning/Development Day - No School for TK-8 Students
• Monday, April 6 - Friday, April 10: Spring Break - No School for TK-8 Students
• Friday, June 5: Last Day of School for TK-8 Students
• Monday, June 8: TK-8 Teacher Work Day

The Winter Break, February Break, and Spring Break and professional development days closely align with the Sequoia Union High School District’s Board-approved calendar for 2025-26.
