November 2024 Districtwide Modernization and Construction Update
The District Facilities Master Planning Committee has completed the first round of meetings with each school site committee. The committee has received valuable feedback from school communities, staff, and administration. This input is currently being reviewed to identify opportunities for campus improvements at each site.
A second round of meetings is being scheduled with each site with meetings already completed at MIT and Henry Ford. Upcoming meetings are scheduled for Adelante Selby, Garfield, Orion Alternative, Roosevelt, and Taft, with efforts ongoing to coordinate meetings at the remaining schools. The purpose of the second meeting is to review these opportunities and potential solutions, prioritize the campus needs, and gather additional feedback from the committee.
In addition to the site-specific meetings, broader community meetings will be scheduled to engage as many community members as possible. A survey will also be distributed to gather community input on the needs of each campus.
Collecting feedback from both the school site committees and the wider community is crucial to ensuring the success of the Facilities Master Planning process.
