February 2025 Districtwide Modernization and Construction Update

The District Facilities Master Planning Committee has completed the second round of meetings with each school site committee. The committee has received valuable feedback from the school communities, staff, and administration. During the second meetings, the site committees prioritized the potential site improvements based on the impact these improvements would have on student learning.

In addition to the site-specific meetings, broader community meetings have been scheduled to engage as many community members as possible. These meetings will take place on March 25 virtually, March 27 at Taft’s MUB and April 1 at Kennedy’s gym to give community members multiple opportunities to attend. A survey will also be distributed to gather community input on the needs of each campus. Collecting feedback from both the school site committees and the wider community is crucial to ensuring the success of the Facilities Master Planning process.

A Board study session is being planned for April 23 to gather feedback from the Board of Trustees before presenting a final FMP draft for approval on May 14.
