Superintendent's Advisory Council

Superintendent Dr. John Baker and student

The Superintendent’s Advisory Council provides Superintendent Dr. John Baker with the opportunity for two-way communication with parents, teachers, and staff members.

The Council and Dr. Baker share important issues facing the district such as student achievement, safety, budget, and other matters. He seeks input from the Council on important decisions facing the district and listens to concerns and feedback from members.

Parents do not need to speak English to be part of the council as interpretation is available.

The group is comprised of at least one parent and one faculty/staff representative from each school site in the district and two Board Trustees. Parents and faculty/staff members are appointed by the school principal.

Dr. Baker shares the input from the Council with the School Board on a quarterly basis.

The district's director of communications leads the Superintendent's Advisory Council for the Superintendent.
