First Day of School Packet
On an annual basis, Redwood City School District (RCSD) families confirm school enrollment as well as review and provide new information to their child's First Day of School Packet. This packet of information is an important step as it helps families with the following:
- Confirm to the district their child's seat by reporting that they intend to return for the upcoming school year,
- Provide any medical information to their child's school,
- Provide emergency contact information to their child’s school,
- Grant permission for their child to have access to a variety of tools such as technology,
- Grant permission for their child to take their annual yearbook picture,
- Access any new and/or updated Board of Trustees policies, and
- Determines resources and services for RCSD students in a variety of areas in addition to children having access to healthy and nutritious meals at school. Depending on the number of families who complete the survey, it will determine several other services and resources such as school library services, school funding, internet access, and teacher grants.
