2023-24 School Year Enrollment

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child in the Redwood City School District (RCSD).

RCSD is a stellar PreK-8 school district known for its unique, popular, and award-winning programs. If you are interested in enrolling your student for the upcoming school year, we invite you to complete your application online.

Documents Needed

To complete your student’s registration, you will need to upload the following: 

  • Student's birth certificate or passport
     
  • Updated Immunization records:
    • The following doses are required for PreK and TK (18 months through 5 years of age) enrollment:
      • 4 doses of DTaP, 3 Polio, 3 Hep B, and 1 Varicella
         
  • The following doses are required for K-6 grade enrollment:
    • 5 doses of DTaP, 4 Polio, 3 Hep B, 2 MMR, and 2 varicella
       
  • One additional dose of DTaP is required for enrollment in 7th grade and higher

All required doses must be clearly visible in the document uploaded to the application.

  • Two (2) different and current documents showing proof of residence: utility bills, rental agreement, vehicle registration, etc.
     
  • Photo ID for parent or guardian
     
  • In addition, please note:

    • Health Exam by a physician is required for kindergarten or 90 days following entry into first grade.
    • Oral health assessment is required by kindergarten or first grader enrolling in public school for their first time.

Please note: Your application will be completed once all documents have been uploaded and received by RCSD. Once all valid documents have been turned in, RCSD will then process registration for placement.

Please use the enrollment application that follows for new 2023-24 students entering TK and K-8 grades as well as Special Education PreK students with an IEP (Individualized Education Plan).
All other PreK children need to enroll with the California State Preschool Program. 

Face-to-Face Support at District Office:

District staff is available to support families at the District Office on the following days and times:

Every Tuesday: 8 am-2 pm
Every Thursday: 8 am-2 pm 

The District Office is located at 750 Bradford St. in Redwood City. 

RCSD staff is available to help families unless the school district is closed during a holiday.

Enrolling in the California State Preschool Program

Families with preschool children should contact the RCSD Child Development Center (CDC), by calling (650) 482-2417, which is a separate process.
