Welcome to the Department of Student Services

The Student Services Department seeks to build a positive school culture where all students feel understood, respected and accepted. The Student Services Department will work with RCSD staff and community members so that all will be the voice of encouragement to dismantle barriers and provide students with learning strategies needed for personal confidence and future success.

The Student Services Department facilitates support services to students, families, and the educational community in the areas of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), McKinney-Vento (Homeless) Students and Families and Foster Youth, Section 504, School Attendance Review Board (SARB), School Safety, Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), Opportunity School Services and program, Attendance and Outdoor Education. Creating supportive learning environments for all students by supporting child development and growth, increasing collaboration and discovery opportunities, and teaching social-emotional skills that inspire civic responsibility and excellence.

Our team is committed to supporting a whole child approach to learning, where all students experience social emotional and academic success. Emotional and Physical safety is our top priority at all schools. We believe collaboration and teamwork among educators, staff and parents create a positive learning environment for all students. When our students feel safe and supported, they are more likely to be engaged and successful at school.
