Parents as Partners in Children’s Education
Parents are encouraged to participate actively in their children's preschool programs to support learning and kindergarten readiness. Opportunities for involvement may include:
- Sharing your time, interests, talents and resources in the children's classrooms
- Attending Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings, Raising a Reader workshops, social events, celebrations and fundraising activities
- Meeting with your children's teachers in parent-teacher conferences to discuss kindergarten readiness and program questions/concerns
- Completing Virtual Pre-K Activities - take-home curricula complementing planned academic learning during the preschool day
Community Partners
We welcome involvement by members of the Redwood City and the elementary school communities through volunteerism in the classrooms, educational presentations for children or staff, donations of materials and assistance with special events. Please contact our Principal of Child Development Centers Edna Margarita R. Carmona or Family Engagement Coordinator Veronica Lobos at (650) 482-2417 to discuss your specific interests.
