Data Analysis and Accountability

The Department of Data Analysis and Accountability oversees the administration and analysis of standardized testing and benchmark tests throughout the district. In RCSD, it includes the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress-CAASPP given annually to all California public school students in grades three through eight and eleven, as well as periodic benchmark interim assessments used to monitor student progress throughout the year.

The coordinator of this department works with the Superintendent of the Redwood City School District, and the Assistant Superintendents of Educational Services, to monitor the progress of students at the district, school, classroom and individual level. Results are analyzed to consider the effectiveness of instructional strategies and to make sure that each student is getting instruction at a level that will maximize his or her success.
