Our Progress

At the heart of our work is a steadfast commitment to creating a safe and supportive, inspirational and rigorous, joyful and inclusive environment for all learners.

This page reflects our dedication to achieving the goals outlined in our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and other strategic initiatives that are shaping the future of Redwood City School District (RCSD).

Our efforts are also grounded in the Learner Framework, which emphasizes the importance of developing all students to be Empowered Learners, Knowledge Constructors, Effective Collaborators, and Creative Communicators.

This framework underpins our commitment to academic excellence and personal growth, ensuring that our educational practices are aligned with the diverse needs and aspirations of our students.

We invite you to explore the various projects and plans detailed here, illustrating how we are bringing our vision to life and fostering an environment where every student is prepared to succeed and excel in a rapidly changing world.

Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)

California’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a required, three-year roadmap that outlines how school districts such as RCSD use state funding to support student success. Each district sets its own goals based on state priorities and updates the community each year on its progress. For RCSD, the LCAP is more than a compliance document; it’s a strategic plan that reflects our commitment to equity, student well-being, and continuous improvement across all schools.

School Modernization and Construction

RCSD’s School Modernization and Construction Program is a long-term investment in creating safe, inclusive, and future-ready learning environments for all Redwood City children. Funded through voter-approved bond measures, this program supports critical repairs, upgrades, modernization, and construction. Every project is guided by the district’s commitment to equity and sustainability, ensuring that all students, regardless of school site, benefit from high-quality facilities that support learning and well-being.
