SPECIAL BOARD MEETING VIA TELECONFERENCE
1. Call to Order
President MacAvoy called the special board meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom Teleconference Meeting.
Present at the Special Board Meeting: President Alisa MacAvoy; Vice-President Díaz-Slocum; Trustees Cecilia I. Márquez, Janet Lawson and Mike Wells; and Superintendent Baker.

President MacAvoy welcomed those present. The School Board dispensed with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Others Present During the Special Board Meeting: Kyle Brumbaugh and Eliana García.
3. Changes to the Agenda
No changes were made to the agenda.
4. Approval of Agenda
The board approved the agenda as submitted, (Lawson, Díaz-Slocum; 5-0).

6. Action Items
6.1 Recommendation re: Adoption of Resolution 8, Authorizing Electronic Meetings of the Board of Trustees During a State of Emergency Pursuant to Government Code Section 54953(e)
Superintendent Baker commented that he has convened with San Mateo County superintendents to discuss in-person and virtual board meetings and thus far, 5 school districts are continuing to conduct virtual board meetings in the next 30 days. Superintendent Baker added that it has been discussed amongst all superintendents that any future in-person attendees must be fully vaccinated or take a Covid-19 test within 48 hours before the board meeting and have a negative result. Attendees will also have an option to do an antigen test before entering the board room.
The School Board adopted Resolution 8, authorizing electronic meetings of the Board of Trustees during a State of Emergency pursuant to Government Code Section 54953 (e) (Díaz-Slocum/Márquez; 5-0).
