APPROVED MINUTES OF BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING
February 28, 2020

1. Call to Order

President Janet Lawson called the Closed Session Meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. at the San Mateo Credit Union (“SMCU”), 350 Convention Way, Redwood City.

2. Welcome

President Janet Lawson welcomed those present. The School Board dispensed with the recital of the pledge.

Present at the Closed Session Meeting: President Janet Lawson, Vice-President Alisa MacAvoy, Trustees María Díaz-Slocum, Cecilia Márquez, Dennis McBride, and Superintendent John Baker.

3. Changes to the Agenda

No changes were made.

4. Approval of Agenda

The board approved the agenda as submitted, (Díaz-Slocum/Márquez; 5-0).

5. Oral Communication

None.

6. Closed Session

6.1 Conference with Real Property Negotiators

6.2 Closed Session for Public Employee Performance Evaluation (Superintendent’s Evaluation)

At 9:01am, the School Board and Superintendent Baker began the Closed Session Meeting.

7. Adjournment (Action Required)

The board adjourned the Closed Session Meetings at 3:00 p.m. (Márquez, McBride; 5-0).
