EMERGENCY BOARD MEETING VIA TELECONFERENCE
- Call to Order
President Janet Lawson called the emergency board meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom Teleconference Meeting.
- Welcome
President Janet Lawson welcomed those present. The School Board dispensed with the recital of the pledge.
Present at the Emergency Board Meeting via Zoom: President Janet Lawson, Vice-President Alisa MacAvoy, Trustees María Díaz-Slocum, Cecilia I. Márquez, and Superintendent John Baker.
Others Present: Lauren Charneski, attorney at DWK; Don Dias, Bond Program Director; Will Robertson, Program Manager at RGM Kramer, Inc.

The board approved the agenda as submitted, (Díaz-Slocum/MacAcvoy; 5-0).

- Action Items (Action Required)
- Emergency Meeting of the Governing Board. The Board is holding an emergency meeting pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.5 to address the COVID-19 pandemic that severely impacts health and safety
Lauren Charneski, attorney at Dannis Woliver Kelley addressed the School Board by stating that the emergency board meeting was scheduled due to the latest public order issued by the San Mateo County Public Health Officer. The emergency board meeting would allow for the adoption of a resolution that would provide approval for the continuation of construction projects within the Redwood City School District sites.
The School Board approved emergency meeting of the Governing Board (MacAvoy, McBride; 5-0).

- Resolution 22, Resolution Specifically Designating District Public Works Projects as Essential Governmental Functions. The Board shall consider approval of a resolution designating the identified District projects as Essential Government Functions, consistent with San Mateo Public Health Order c19-5b, which projects will therefore continue activity as Essential Business
Lauren Charneski, attorney at Dannis Woliver Kelley stated that the adoption of Resolution 22 would demonstrate that construction projects within the Redwood City School District school sites are integral and would show that the School District is in compliance to continue construction projects.
The School Board adopted Resolution 22, resolution specifically designating District public works projects as essential governmental functions. The Board shall consider approval of a resolution designating the identified District projects as essential government functions, consistent with San Mateo Public Health Order c19-5b, which projects will therefore continue activity as essential business (McBride, Márquez; 5-0).
