RCSD currently has two open seats; one for the Measure T Citizens Oversight Committee and the other for the Measure U Citizens Oversight Committee.
The facilities became vacant after the Board of Trustees voted to merge and move programs and consolidate schools as part of a community engagement program after a loss of 2,000 students in six years as families move out of the Bay Area due to the high cost of living and three charter schools that operate within the RCSD attendance zone.
The workshops are part of a larger scope of presentations centered around the school district’s new Board policy on creating safe learning environments for all students including transgender, gender non-conforming, lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) students.
Welcome to RCSD's Mandarin Immersion Program!
Students in RCSD's Mandarin Dual Language Immersion Program attain fluency in communication, reading, and writing in both Mandarin and English. John Gill students are able to continue their K-12 Mandarin Immersion progression at Kennedy Middle School and Wooside High School.
STEAM
The Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) program integrates computer science and engineering across all content areas. STEAM at the John Gill Campus fosters curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
