4th grade Science and Language Arts

    welcome

I have been teaching at NSA since 2018. Teamwork, effort, respect, and responsibility are habits that fourth graders strive to develop. Fourth-grade is a big year for practice as students are strengthening their literacy and math skills, learning to work more independently, and building problem-solving skills.

As their teacher, I will strive to support the students in their academic, as well as interpersonal growth, and encourage creative expression. Getting to know the students is an important part of my practice. My goal is to challenge each individual to reach their full potential as an engaged, lifelong learner.

In addition, I encourage parents to get involved in their child's learning by continuing to create meaningful, relevant ties to our curriculum. Asking questions, sharing stories or going on day trips can really help your child in their learning quest. Technology is also an important component of our classroom work. Typing (writing emails or letters) and website navigation are skills students could also build upon at home.
