Music 6th – 8th Grade (Middle School)
Grade 6th – 8th have the option of learning an instrument while at Clifford. Taught by a RCSD teacher, this program teaches students how to play an instrument such as: Clarinet, Violin, Flute, Trombone, Trumpet, & Saxophone. Students decide with the help of their parent/guardian what instrument they would like to learn and then sign up for this class at the beginning of the school year. Classes are once a week on the Clifford campus during the school day so students can practice what they learned at home daily. Instruments can be borrowed for use throughout the year, rented locally, or students can use their own instruments. This program is funded by the Redwood City School District. This program is a good intro to High School Band if students participate in the program fully.
