Tracy DaCosta, Asst. Principal
Welcome to Roosevelt! My name is Tracy DaCosta and I am the Assistant Principal at Roosevelt School. We are so happy that you have joined our exciting learning community! This is a school where we truly live by our motto: DREAM IT! BELIEVE IT! ACHIEVE IT! You will find that throughout your journey here at Roosevelt you will experience amazing things.
As the Assistant Principal I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I was born in Hawaii but grew up in the East Bay. Before becoming the Assistant Principal I was both a classroom teacher and Literacy Specialist, at Roosevelt. I began my career teaching in Vallejo and Richmond before moving to Redwood City in 1986. Since 1994, I have had the privilege of working with students pre-school to sixth grade at Roosevelt. In addition to being a classroom teacher and Literacy Specialist, I have worked as a master teacher, BTSA Support Provider to new teachers, and Outreach Specialist.
When I have free time, I love spending it with my family. I have a daughter that loves to cook, dance and play the French horn and flute. My hobbies include watching my daughter and nephews playing a variety of sports and in concerts, hiking, art, knitting, cooking and jewelry making.
