Superintendent's Advisory Council
The Superintendent’s Advisory Council provides Superintendent Dr. John Baker with information about important issues facing the district. The Council is an opportunity for two-way communication between parents and the superintendent. Dr. Baker shares information on student performance, safety, budget and variety of issues facing the district. He seeks feedback from parents on important decisions facing the district and listens to concerns and feedback from parents. Parents do not need to speak English to be part of the council as interpretation is available.
The group is comprised of at least one parent from each school site in the district. During the 2018-19 school year, a faculty or staff member from each site became part of the council and the council as a whole was charged with helping the district plan for its future.
Dr. Baker shares the input from parents with the School Board on a quarterly basis.
