Pati Ortiz oversees Community-School Partnerships and is the Director for the Redwood City School District's Community Schools. Pati has been working in community schools for the past 6 years and supports district's efforts on everything regarding whole child and family development. She supports initiatives and strategy implementation at site, district, and community levels. Pati comes from ample experience with non-profits and government in Latin America


    Veronica Lobos manages daily operations and direct services for the SparkPoint program from Preschool-eighth grade in RCSD. She has experience in both the operational and management levels with SparkPoint. She is fluent in Spanish and English, and has been RCSD's Family Engagement Coordinator  since 2014. Previously, she was the Community School Coordinator for Fair Oaks Community School and has been with RCSD for over 10 years. She has an MPA with an emphasis in Public Affairs from Notre Dame De Namur University and Bacherlors in Social Work from San Jose Sate University.


    Liz Calderon-Garcia has been the Community School Coordinator at Kennedy Community School since August 2014. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at San Jose State University. During her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family. 


    David Linhares is originally from St. Louis, MO. He graduated from St. Louis University High School in 2008 and attended Truman State University (Kirksville, MO) from 2008-2012, where he earned a B.A. in Spanish and a B.A. in Sociology. After graduation David moved to Santiago de Chile to teach English to Business professionals throughout the metropolitan area and volunteering at a refugee center. In 2014 he came to Redwood City to work as a Notre Dame Americorps Volunteer at Hoover Community School, where he served as a Family Engagement Specialist for 2 school years. In 2016 he became the Community School Coordinator for Hoover. 


    Elsa Aispuro graduated form UC Davis and has been part of our community ever since! She started as an Americorps Volunteer, then transistioned as our first ever SparkPoint Center Director and is currently the Taft Community School Coordinator. She enjoys a good book and the great outdoors on her time off. 


    Cesar Zuñiga works as Selby Lane's community school coordinator and after school program director, providing support and magic all around! He can be found snacking in the school's edible garden.


    Lizette Hernandez is very excited to start her first year as the Community School Coordinator at Garfield School. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations in 2017. Previously Lizette worked with The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula at Bellehaven School and here at Garfield. You can usually find her camped out at the Garfield Student Store, collecting funny memes, embarrassing herself, or on the basketball court. In her time off she likes to read, binge watch Netflix, and travel far far away.
