Congratulations to Paulette Elliott, Winner of the 2016 Judy Moomaugh Award of Excellence For Exemplary Service by a Library Paraprofessional! Ms. Elliott was chosen from an extensive list of nominees throughout Santa Clara County and San Mateo County. On May 3, the award committee visited our campus and school library for final judging. She was one of only 4 finalists chosen in both San Mateo County and Santa Clara County.
Principal Girardi received her Multiplier of the Year Award at an awards luncheon and workshop in San Francisco. She was one of two winners chosen from a world-wide pool of nominees. We're so proud of Ms. Girardi and this well-deserved recognition for her leadership at Roosevelt!

Redwood City School District (RCSD), in partnership with Redwood City 2020, was recently notified by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation that we have been selected to join the Big Lift collaborative to improve 3rd grade reading outcomes for Redwood City's and North Fair Oak's most vulnerable children.

San Francisco- Baldwin Park Unified School District and Redwood City School District have been selected as recipients of the 2016 Multiple Pathways to Biliteracy District Recognition Award. The Californians Together award celebrates districts that are leading the way to world-class language education in preschool through 12th grade.
The District is in the process of soliciting 5 new members to serve a 2-year term, which includes 1 community member who does not currently have children enrolled in the district, 2 local business owners and 2 parents of students currently attending a Redwood City School District school.
