Curriculum and Instruction

The Clifford Staff is committed to delivering a rigorous academic program to each and every student. Curriculum at the different grade levels is planned according to State Standards, taking into consideration the capabilities and strengths of the students involved. On an ongoing basis, grade levels meet to collaborate and share ideas, constantly searching for methods and strategies that work. Planning also takes place across grade levels, allowing teachers to build upon concepts taught from year to year. This in-depth level of communication provides teachers with the tools necessary to make sure all students - from below grade level to above grade level - are challenged appropriately.

It is essential that all students work towards mastering the standards set by the State; communication of these standards to both students and parents increases the likelihood of achieving mastery.
